The Royal Wellingtons"
In the mid 60's The Royal Wellingtons were an all white band that played many all black venues such as The Longshoreman's Hall on Princess Anne Rd. Seen here they are performing an outdoor show at the corner of Virginia Beach Blvd and Park Ave. The band later added a horn section and changer the name to The Soul Contingent. They rehearsed at Nimrods on Church St. and backed up Ida and The Idets as well as other groups being promoted by Mr.Noah Biggs..
